Jetlag - Arandaissocoolike

"CHARLIE MCDONELL GET UP! WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!!!!!!" shouted Michael from the kitchen, a sense of urgency so great in his tone that Charlie immediately stumbled out of bed in his boxers and rushed to the kitchen. 
"What, what's wrong? Have you cut yourself? Oh my god Michael please say your okay!" Charlie panicked, rushing into the room to find a very distressed Michael standing beside his toaster, wearing a thin bathrobe and a distraught facial expression.
"Your toasters broken!" announced Michael, like a doctor delivering grave news.
"Huh? Michael whatcha mean?"
"I mean your toaster has taken the toast and produced some sort of...circular thing!"
Charlie smiled fondly at the youtuber, carefully taking the offending food out of Michael's palm.
"I don't get it. Don't you like crumpets?" Charlie queried, blinking at the small circle of dough.
"Charlie, Alex said he would put some breakfast in the toaster this morning and then I go to get it, and I find the bread has been morphed into a circle, and there are even tiny holes on the circle! I think your toaster has morphing abilities! We could change the world with this! Imagine how many people's lives we could change!!!" Michael explained, looking completely amazed.
"Michael, I think you've been working too hard. You should sleep." Charlie smiled at the obviously jetlagged American. 
"theres no time for sleeping charlie! We have to develop this!" 
"Okay, just cool down a second. How about we make you some tea?"
"No no no, mutating toasters!" 
"Yes yes yes, tea!" Charlie giggled, looking into the eyes of his American bandmate.
"Please please please SHUT UP guys!" Alex called blearily from his room
"not now Alex, were busy saving the world." Michael replied, looking into the eyes of the youtube sensation standing beside him.
"Y'know Michael, your quite possibly my favourite American ever." charlie grinned shyly.
"For real? Out of everyone?" 
"Uh - huh." 
"Wow. I've never been anyones favourite before" Michael blinked, obviously still shattered.
"well you are. We could never have done this album without you." Charlie said matter - of - factly.
"Thanks for everything Charlie. You inspire me." Michael smiled, reaching over a flicking a few switches on the toaster with remarkable consistency. 
"Michael, I think your jetlagged. Come sit down, I'll get you something to eat now." Charlie suggested, trying to steer the older boy onto the sofa. 
"Nope."
"why not?" Charlie asked, smiling fondly. Michael was so funny when he was tired, and at the moment he seemed to be enjoying himself. 
"Charlieeeee, have you ever thought about plaiting your hair?" 
"Cant say I have. Don't know many guys who do." 
"Bet alex does"
"I wouldn't be surprised" charlie nodded jokingly, envisioning Alex with long braids and spluttered on his tea at the image.
At that moment Alex strolled in, looking thoroughly confused. 
"Michael? Charlie? You still up?" He called out, crossing the small room.
"Yeah, Michael's really jetlagged." Charlie explained, pulling out a mug for his flatmate.
"I know, I gave him a herbal tea earlier and put a crumpet in the toaster." 
"He's convinced you put in some toast and our toaster mutated it into a crumpet." 
"Oh yeah by the way those herbal teas can really fuck your mind up for a few hours, so he might be a little...interesting for a while." Alex casually remarked, collecting his mug from the kitchen top and plonking himself onto a seat opposite Michael and Charlie. 
"yeah I gathered he's been very hyper for the past hour." 
Alex looked at Michael who had got up and was poking the toaster in obvious amazement, gazing at his reflection in the silver panel.
Charlie looked over fondly at the boy, walking to him and beginning to wash the cups and bowls surrounding the kitchen. 
"You tired love?" Charlie questioned, watching as Michael continued prodding.
"NONONONO!!!!!! I don't ever wanna sleep again!" Michael cried, skipping around the kitchen with immense enthusiasm. 
"Okay, okay. Come sit down for a while, alright?" 
Michael walked over, flicking a bubble from the washing up. Grabbing another handful of foam from the murky water, he lightly splashed it at Charlie. Charlie looked up, smiling as he scraped the foam from his hair.
"Nobody beats charlieissocoolike at waterfights!" he said, returning the splash as Alex cheered te two on from the couch.
25 minutes and half a bottle of washing up later, the two boys finally stopped and doubled over laughing at the other. Both were sweating lightly, and completely covered in bubbles and water. 
Charlie, feeling his nurturing urges surface, grabbed a towel  from the laundry cupboard and wrapped it around Michael, who had began to shiver slightly. 
"That was funnnnn!" Michael smiled, looking much more tired. 
"time with you always is" Charlie agreed, before carefully peeling the sopping wet shirt off michael's chest. 
"better?" he asked.  
"Mmhmm." Michael turned to the boy, wrapping his arms around him. 
Charlie carefully walked towards the sofa, pulling the sleepy American into his lap. He was always the one in Michael's lap. It was nice to have it the other way around for once. 
Alex smiled as he walked into his room "have a good night with your boyfriend charlieburg!" He teased, watching as a blush spread into his cheeks.
"He's not my- I don- it's not like that...." Charlie protested, the smile on his face confirming his words were anything but the truth. 
"relax, I'm fine with it. I'm happy for you guys" Alex nodded sincerely.
Michael stirred lightly in his arms, turning to face Charlie.
"I never wanna leave Charlie. I love it here, and I love you." he looked up into his eyes, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. 
"Then stay..." Charlie breathed, as both boys fell into a gentle slumber. 
"Cute" Alex whispered as he walked away. 
Because no matter what he felt for Charlie, he knew that that was right. Nobody could deny it, Michael and Charlie were perfect for each other.
